“Planets” is an exploration of time and space. It's an album that focuses on the sound of the orchestra in a unique and space orientated way. As the composer, I wanted to give each planet a particular color, instrumentation, and texture. For inspiration, I strictly stuck to the chords I gave myself for each planet and the picture of the planet itself, so no Greek, Roman, or Holst here. I want audiences to feel the grandeur of space and the emotion that's connected with each planet, from Pluto to Mercury.
